Aim Tracking Test
Keep your cursor on the moving target for 20 seconds. This aim tracking test measures sustained mouse control, on-target time, and average tracking error. It is built for tracking aimโnot flick shots or static target acquisition.
Track the moving target
Move the pointer onto the blue target and keep it there. Clicking is not required.
What Aim Tracking Measures
Tracking aim is the ability to match a cursor's movement to a target that remains in motion. The task demands visual pursuit, prediction, smooth corrective movement, and stable control. Your on-target percentage is the share of active test time when the pointer stays inside the target.
Average tracking error measures the distance between the pointer and target center. A lower error can reveal improvement even when two sessions produce a similar on-target percentage.
Aim Tracking vs Aim Trainer
These tests target different skills. Aim Tracking uses one continuously moving target and rewards sustained cursor control. The Aim Trainer presents stationary targets in new positions and measures flick speed plus click accuracy. Use the Click Speed Test only when you want raw CPS without spatial aiming.
How to Get a Comparable Score
- Use the same device: mouse, trackpad, and touchscreen results are not interchangeable.
- Keep sensitivity fixed: changing pointer sensitivity changes the control-to-motion ratio.
- Prioritize smoothness: anticipate direction instead of repeatedly snapping past the target.
